In 2023, during our post-pandemic visit to the Philippines, I observed individuals approaching my father in his hometown, pleading for assistance with purchasing medication for their children or paying for tuition, school fees, and supplies. It made me wonder what would happen once all these pills had been used and after that year’s school fees had been paid.
Acknowledging the formidable issues that the community faced, I resolved to contribute to finding a resolution. Upon realizing that offering personal aid and medical supplies were only temporary solutions to deeper difficulties, I set out to discover more permanent and far-reaching solutions to the challenges produced by poverty. This aspiration led to the establishment of the ACTO Movement.
On July 12, 2024, the ACTO Movement was formally registered by the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-profit, non-stock organization committed to providing access to healthcare and promoting Filipino children education through enrichment programs for underprivileged children in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
